Our beard services start with a consultation. Your barber examines your beard growth pattern, face shape, and the look you want, then maps out a plan before touching a single hair. For trims and sculpting, we use a combination of clippers and scissors to define your neckline, cheekline, and overall shape. For clients growing their beards out, we offer guidance trims that maintain shape without sacrificing length.
The hot towel shave is where Barberhood truly shines. Peter trained in traditional straight razor technique and brings old-school craftsmanship to every shave. The experience starts with a warm towel wrap that opens your pores and softens the hair. Then comes a rich lather applied by hand, followed by a precise straight razor shave with the grain. A second pass catches anything the first one missed. We finish with a cold towel to close the pores and a soothing aftershave treatment.

It depends on how fast your beard grows and the style you maintain. For a tight, sculpted look, every 1 to 2 weeks keeps things crisp. For a longer, fuller beard, every 3 to 4 weeks is usually enough to maintain shape and clean up the neckline and cheekline. Your barber at Barberhood can set up a maintenance schedule based on your growth rate and style.
Yes, that is one of our favourite things to do. Growing a beard takes patience, and having a barber guide the shape during the process makes a huge difference. We will trim the stragglers and define your neckline and cheekline so it looks intentional, not unkempt, while letting the length build. Come in every 3 to 4 weeks during the growth phase and we will keep it looking sharp.
