Barber in
Little Portugal
Premium barbershop serving Little Portugal and surrounding Toronto neighbourhoods. Skin fades, precision haircuts, and beard trims.
Barberhood sits right on the border of Little Portugal and Liberty Village, making us the neighbourhood barbershop for one of Toronto's most vibrant and culturally rich communities. From the corner of Dundas and Ossington, the unofficial heart of Little Portugal, our shop is about a three-minute walk south.

“Your neighbourhood barbershop in Little Portugal”
Little Portugal has a character that is hard to replicate. The Portuguese bakeries on Dundas Street, the family restaurants that have been serving bacalhau and grilled sardines for decades, the colourful murals on brick walls, and the community festivals like Do West Fest that shut down 16 blocks every summer. It is a neighbourhood that values tradition, craftsmanship, and doing things right. That resonates with how we approach barbering.
Our multicultural team reflects the diversity of the community we serve. Peter, Ismael, Mike, Brigen, and Mary bring different backgrounds and expertise to the chair, and our clients come from every walk of life. The vibe at Barberhood is inclusive, welcoming, and rooted in the same community spirit that defines Little Portugal.
College Street to the north and Dundas Street running through the middle are the main arteries. The 505 Dundas and 506 College streetcars both connect to the neighbourhood, and the 63 Ossington bus runs north-south through the area. Walking from Dundas and Ossington takes about three minutes south to Abell Street. The Victorian houses on Beaconsfield and the street art along Dundas make it a pleasant walk.

History of
Little Portugal
Little Portugal is one of Toronto's most important cultural neighbourhoods, shaped by Portuguese immigration that began in the early 1950s and grew strongly through the late 1960s and early 1970s. The area remains closely associated with Portuguese restaurants, bakeries, cafes, and family-run businesses, especially along Dundas Street West.
One of Toronto's most culturally rooted neighbourhoods, shaped by decades of Portuguese community and tradition.
The neighbourhood's walkable main-street character and strong community identity have made it a destination for both longtime residents and newcomers. From the colourful murals on brick walls to festivals like Do West Fest that shut down 16 blocks every summer, Little Portugal blends heritage with a creative, evolving energy.
